What hiking spots do you offer?
We mostly want to stay in the Grand Marais area to cut down on traveling costs. The spots we hike so far are:
Cascade River State Park
Pincushion trail system, both East (great for stars) and West.
Lindskog road/Woods Creek trail (North-bound, not West-bound,)
Kadunce River trail
as well as walks/gazing on the shore

What kind of equipment do you use?
We use Ops-Core Carbon helmets with Ops-Core shrouds, Wilcox G24 mounts, and AX-14 Pro arms.
We’ve chosen this equipment with the main goal of staying lightweight!
The night vision units that we use are gen 3 PVS-14s. We have both white and green phosphor units available!
An entire setup (which includes a helmet, the night vision, a tether for the NVGs, a counterweight, and an identifier helmet light) is about 3.7lbs (59 oz)

What supplies will you be bringing with?
On my person, I will typically be carrying a ham radio, some basic first aid items, water, bug spray, and likely trail mix / snacks
-
Which is better, white or green?
It really all depends from what angle you’re asking. If you’re wanting to buy night vision and go cheaper, then green phosphor all the way! GP usually comes with eye strain, which becomes noticeable after using it for a while, whereas white phosphor doesn’t!
Typically WP outperforms GP in terms of raw performance, but with green you can see more shades than with white.
Come see for yourself which you prefer! :)

Will you be continuing this into the winter season?
As of now, yes!
But the winter season comes with it’s own challenges, like snow and ice on slopes and other hurdles that we are still in the process of navigating!

Really, how good is night vision?
The first time I put it on, and even now sometimes when it’s been a while since I last used it, I think to myself “ wow, this thing is quite literally magic
