About Us
I bought my first night vision unit around June of 2022, and was super nervous about it because of the high price. But after seeing it’s capabilities in person, I knew it was worth the money. I’ve since logged many many hours of night vision use, and have purchase two more! I’ve enjoyed night vision so much, and I’ve made it a personal goal of mine to show what it’s like to as many of my friends as possible. I take so much joy in watching people’s faces light up, hearing them gasp in awe, and exclaim about how they had no idea how well it works and how cool it is. Night vision has definitely helped me feel more comfortable in the woods or out in the middle of nowhere during nighttime. Most of the time, if you hear or see an animal, it’s a deer! And I have yet to run into any animal in the dark that is more dangerous than a deer
My background: I’ve spent most of my adult life working in Emergency Medical Services, first as an EMT, and then as a Paramedic after obtaining that certification in 2019. All of my EMS career has consisted of working in a 911 system, so I have a fair amount of experience treating injured people.
I’ve always been an avid lover of the outdoors and all the beauty that nature has to offer. I moved to the Grand Marais area in 2021 after a trip to Colorado made me realize that I wanted to live somewhere similar. I worked at the local hospital for about a year, while I explored many popular hikes in the county. During that time, I got really into night vision, and after moving on from my employment, I wanted to find a job that I enjoyed doing where I could stay active. Thus, Low Light Experiences was born!
